Course Overview

Data Centres consume vast quantities of electrical power to drive both the IT equipment and the considerable supporting infrastructure such as a sizeable cooling capacity. The Data Centre Manager needs to understand where and how that power is being utilised and ensure it is being utilised effectively, with a green and efficient bias. There is much debate within the IT industry as to how best to monitor and measure, and then clearly report productivity and effectiveness of IT equipment and associated facilities. Within this module an individual will gain understanding of these debated metrics and how they affect costs and performance.
